Explore Your North

Welcome to a place where nature takes center stage and every community has its own rich history and character. It’s a place to get away to or come home to, where opportunity is wide and tradition runs deep.

While manufacturing is our largest industry, our contributions certainly don’t stop there. We’re farmers, small business owners, artists, and inventors, and we play as hard as we work.

From rushing waterfalls to a peaceful afternoon on the river to a chance to net a trophy walleye, we’ve got freshwater resources abound. Combine that with the dozens of annual festivals and events across the region and exciting new developments in any of our towns and you’ll soon see it’s always a good time to visit and you might just want to stay a while.

There are as many definitions of “Up North” as there are people who’ve been there and we think that’s a good thing. We realize one size doesn’t fit all. That’s why we invite you to #InventYourNorth.
